Cadenza wasn't born as a startup idea or an attempt to build yet another media player. It all started with content.
For years we did music design for commercial spaces, and every day we hit the same wall: creating content is easier than playing it back reliably. On site there was a bit of everything — consumer players, Android boxes, laptops, USB sticks, scattered clouds.
We were looking for a system to manage content centrally, control playback, and not depend on unstable internet. We couldn't find a ready product — so we started building our own. First for ourselves, then for clients.
Individual solutions became devices, devices became a single platform, and the platform grew into Cadenza. Today that's content management, monitoring, Proof of Play, offline playback, and centralized delivery to distributed locations.
Yes. Playback and multiroom live locally. The cloud is for management, schedules, and content — but if it drops, the content doesn't. A player keeps going for weeks on its cache.
